About Lefty Design Co
Lefty Design Co operates from Minneapolis, Minnesota, where founder Stephanie Lunieski established the company to produce handcrafted furniture, housewares, and bespoke cabinetry. The business began with a focus on blending architectural forms and artistic movements from the past into functional pieces for both residential and commercial settings. The workshop creates custom furniture and a proprietary product line called Domu, which emphasizes simple silhouettes and the natural character of wood. Each piece is handcrafted with attention to material interplay, and the Domu collection is available in multiple sizes for shipment throughout the continental United States. Beyond the standard line, the company takes on custom cabinetry and furniture commissions, partnering directly with clients to develop pieces tailored to specific spaces and needs. Clients range from homeowners seeking distinctive furnishings to designers and architects outfitting office environments. The custom work spans one-off pieces to full cabinetry installations, with the company positioning itself as a collaborative partner rather than a volume producer. Lunieski frames the mission around creating objects that become enduring points of strength and beauty in a space, intended to be well used and well loved for generations. The design philosophy draws on historical references and a reverence for the connection between craftsperson, client, and the finished piece.
