About LIW Furniture
LIW Furniture operates as Lancaster Iron & Wood, a family-owned custom furniture and cabinetry company rooted in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The business is owned by Case Taylor, who brought hands-on experience from Amish Artisan Woodcraft in cabinetry, millwork, and custom furniture to the operation. The company describes its shop as a Lancaster, PA wood shop where all pieces are hand crafted, though its website also lists a Navarre, Ohio address. The company produces custom hardwood and iron furniture including dining tables, chairs, cabinets, built-ins, vanities, bars, and office furniture. Its team works with locally sourced hardwoods from native Appalachian forests, many from Pennsylvania, and offers live-edge tops, custom base options, a range of stains and paints, and proprietary hardware and metal features. Customers can select from a catalogue of solid-wood designs or collaborate with designers and craftsmen on fully custom pieces for residential or commercial projects. LIW serves homeowners, restaurants, retail spaces, offices, and other commercial clients. A restaurant owner, John Harris, noted the company produced dining tables for his establishment, while residential customers Sarah Benhayon and Jacqueline Swazy referenced custom dining sets and live-edge tables. The firm emphasizes its ability to handle projects small and large, from a single dining set to a full restaurant fit-out. Taylor states the goal is to continue building on the craftsmanship LIW has long been known for while expanding custom possibilities. The company highlights its control over materials through local partnerships, a quality standard that every piece must be acceptable in their own homes, and a professional team of designers, project managers, and craftsmen who bring pride and passion to each project.
