About Martin Industries
The company traces its roots back over 60 years to Philadelphia, where founder Marty launched the business at 13th and Lombard. Ownership passed through Howard and David before John Kline and his son Jeremy acquired it in 2005. After John's passing in 2023, the firm continues as a family-owned operation staffed by Kline's descendants and longtime employees. The company specializes in custom upholstered furniture—chairs, sofas, and sectionals—for high-end residential and commercial clients. Working from their Bristol workroom, the team handles frame construction, schematic drawings, room layout, and handcrafted upholstery, delivering finished pieces in as little as six to eight weeks. Martin Industries serves interior designers, decorators, and the broader design trade across the East Coast, providing custom pieces for residential and commercial projects. The firm emphasizes bench-made, handcrafted construction and a philosophy that furniture need not sacrifice function, aesthetics, or comfort—a commitment carried forward from its founding generation.
