About Parkman Woodworks
Parkman Woodworks was founded in 2015 on Parkman Avenue in Silverlake, Los Angeles, California, starting with a pickup truck and a thousand dollars. The founders built their first pieces from sustainable wood in a friend's driveway. Graham Taglang has served as the public face of the company since its inception. The company produces custom handmade wood and steel furniture, including conference tables, dining tables, bed frames, desks, coffee tables, bookshelves, consoles, and benches. All pieces are made to order, from raw material selection through final delivery. Parkman serves residential clients and commercial accounts across corporate offices, restaurants, and hospitality spaces. Notable product categories include live-edge dining tables, custom conference tables for boardrooms, and banquette seating for kitchen and dining areas. The company's stated mission is to turn wasted wood into practical art while advancing the values of handcraft. They emphasize hyperlocal sourcing, using solid lumber recovered from naturally fallen Southern California trees and structures. Accountability, awareness, and achievement are cited as core values, with every team member involved from inception to inspection of each piece.
