About Randy's Booth Co Inc.

Randy's Booth Co. Inc. operates from a renovated facility in Crystal, Minnesota, a northwest suburb of Minneapolis. The business traces its roots to the 1970s when Randy Kissoondath, an immigrant from Trinidad and Tobago, began building restaurant booths and earned a national reputation for custom seating. After a health-related sale and a later restart, Randy's son Bert Kissoondath joined the company in his mid-20s, learning every aspect of production before assuming leadership following his father's sudden death in 2009. The firm relocated to its current 2-acre site in September 2017, gaining 20-foot ceiling clearance, a loading dock, and a showroom. The company manufactures custom hospitality furnishings—booths, banquettes, chairs, stools, tables, and headboards—using Northern Hardwoods such as cherry, ash, oak, and maple. A 20-person team handles design, fabrication, finishing, and installation in-house, allowing the shop to control quality from raw lumber to final placement. While the earlier iteration employed 40 people serving chains like Hyatt and Perkins, the current operation focuses on a close-knit crew that manages projects from concept through installation. Customers include restaurant groups, designers, architects, and healthcare and corporate clients across the United States. Recent projects range from multi-unit restaurant build-outs for operators such as Nova Restaurant Group (Hazelwood Food & Drink) and independent owners (Stanley's NE, Pub 819, The Howe Daily Kitchen and Bar) to the Super Bowl celebration at the Minneapolis Armory, where the shop delivered custom walls, poster panels, tables, and seating on a tight timeline. The company emphasizes generational craftsmanship and a "customized craft in a cut-and-paste world" philosophy. Bert Kissoondath cites his father's lesson that pride in work shows in the finished product, a principle that earned the firm the 2024 Minnesota Manufacturer of the Year award and the SBA's Minnesota Family Owned Business of the Year honor. The leadership team highlights on-time delivery, value engineering, and direct oversight of every installation as key differentiators.
