About RIVA Racing
RIVA Racing traces its roots to 1979, when Steve and Lynn Bamdas moved their family from New Jersey to Pompano Beach, Florida, to open a small motorsports shop called Lambretta South. The business initially sold scooters, mopeds, and go-karts before adding Yamaha's 'Riva' scooter line in the early 1980s, which inspired the RIVA name. Today the company designs, manufactures, and distributes its own line of personal watercraft performance parts and accessories under the RIVA Racing brand, and also offers specially modified watercraft for enthusiasts and racers. Operations span six buildings across Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach, housing research and development, sales and technical support, two parts and watercraft warehouses, international shipping and receiving, a retail showroom, a service center, and a private test lake. The facility employs over 100 people. RIVA Racing serves the personal watercraft aftermarket, supplying retail customers, dealers, and professional racers worldwide. Its product range covers Sea-Doo, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Honda models, including power filters, intercoolers, exhaust systems, superchargers, impellers, intake grates, sponsons, steering systems, and seat covers. The company's race team and sponsored riders—such as Chris MacClugage, Jeff Jacobs, and Dustin Motzouris—have earned multiple national and world titles using RIVA equipment. That shift created the dedicated R&D operation that continues today. RIVA Racing emphasizes that its parts are tested by its own race team and have been used to capture a world water speed record, positioning racing-proven quality as its core differentiator.
