About Sangamon Solar
Based in Champaign, Illinois, Sangamon Solar operates as a solar installation and service provider for residential and commercial customers across the state. The company’s headquarters serves as the base for its design, installation, and maintenance teams. Sangamon Solar designs and installs rooftop, ground‑mounted, and ballast‑mounted photovoltaic systems, using Ironridge mounting hardware and triple‑sealing every roof penetration. Each project includes a workmanship warranty, equipment warranties up to 25 years, and 15 years of system monitoring. The firm also provides permitting, interconnection, and Renewable Energy Credit (REC) processing through the Illinois Shines program, and offers maintenance for systems it did not originally install. A zero‑money‑down leasing option and energy‑consulting services round out the portfolio. The company serves homeowners, businesses that own their buildings, and ‘stranded customers’ needing assistance with REC payments under Illinois Shines. Its approved‑vendor and equity‑eligible‑contractor status allows it to work within state incentive frameworks for both residential and commercial projects. Sangamon Solar emphasizes transparency and speed, citing typical rooftop installations of three days or less, and positions itself as a primary vendor for stranded‑customer REC recovery. The firm states it works with any preferred panel, inverter, or battery brand and provides financing options to reduce upfront cost.
