About Solar Help Hawaii
Solar Help Hawaii operates from Honolulu, Hawaii, where it was established in 2017 as Sunaru Inc. doing business as Solar Help Hawaii. The company emerged when Chaleigh, now president and CEO, acquired the assets of the former Solar Help Hawaii LLC and hired its experienced staff after the unexpected passing of her brother, Dale Domen, who had founded the original business. Chaleigh returned to Hawaii from Seattle to fulfill a promise to carry on her brother's vision of a service-oriented solar company rooted in the local concept of "ohana." The firm sells, installs, and services a range of residential solar energy systems, including photovoltaic panels, solar hot water heaters, solar attic fans, and solar pool pumps. It also provides solar panel cleaning and system troubleshooting, such as inverter replacement and upgrades. Technicians work across Oahu, responding to service calls and performing new installations for homeowners seeking to reduce utility costs or add value to new construction. Solar Help Hawaii serves residential customers on Oahu, from long-time homeowners facing high electric bills to buyers of newly built homes. Testimonials highlight rapid response to emergencies — such as a leaking solar water tank addressed within minutes — and after-hours troubleshooting support that restored hot water without an immediate site visit. The company emphasizes its licensed contractor status, credentialed installer designation for CertainTeed products, and partnership with the Hawaii Energy Efficiency Program. Its differentiators include free consultations, a reputation for responsive local service, and a client-first approach that treats customers as extended family.
