About Ward Wood Products
Ward Wood Products was founded in 1991 in Oklahoma City by Dale and Kathy Ward and their son Scott. Dale contributed 33 years of cabinet-industry experience; Scott added framing, trim, and sales expertise. The company started with four employees plus the founders, who worked across sales, manufacturing, and delivery. In 1997 it moved to its current southwest Oklahoma City facility and added a second shift in 2001, running production weekdays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. The shop builds custom cabinets for homeowners and production homebuilders. Each job begins with CAD drawings and a written bid so customers approve every dimension and detail before cutting. All fabrication occurs in-house under controlled conditions, followed by delivery and a post-installation service visit to align doors and adjust drawers. The two-shift operation includes a seven-person sales and drafting team; four employees have topped 30 years with the company and 37 have passed 20 years. Ward Wood serves residential construction and remodeling, handling everything from single-kitchen remodels to builders producing hundreds of homes annually. The company says its process—shop-built consistency, upfront visualization, and follow-up service—scales without losing detail, whether the order is for one kitchen or one hundred. The business was founded on the idea that buying custom cabinets shouldn’t be a gamble. By presenting a full plan before cutting, building in a controlled environment, and returning to fine-tune after installation, Ward Wood aims to eliminate vague quotes, missed deadlines, and unresponsive contractors. The longevity of its craftsmen—many with two decades at the company—is cited as the foundation for standing behind every build long after delivery.
