About Williams & Kay
Williams & Kay operates as a premium home furnishings retailer in Anchorage, Alaska. The store was opened in 1992 by Dave and Rachel Cavitt, who had previously purchased Sadler's Furniture in 1988 after Dave worked there since 1975. The Cavitts, often described as Alaska's first family of furniture retail, built Furniture Enterprises of Alaska into a 13-store group that includes La-Z-Boy, Ultimate Mattress, Ashley HomeStore, and Mattress Firm locations across the state. The Anchorage showroom at 700 E. Benson Boulevard carries a curated selection of living room, dining room, bedroom, and accent furniture from brands such as Stickley, Bassett, American Leather, Flexsteel, Canadel, Natuzzi Editions, and Amish-made pieces. Williams & Kay distinguishes itself with a made-to-order program and interior design services, allowing customers to customize upholstery, finishes, and dimensions. The buying team sources products at major U.S. furniture markets and travels internationally to Europe, China, Vietnam, and Mexico. The retailer serves residential customers throughout the Anchorage, Mat-Su Valley, and Eagle River areas, offering delivery and pickup options. Its product range spans sofas, sectionals, recliners, dining sets, beds, mattresses, and home accents, catering to a variety of styles from transitional and modern to farmhouse and traditional. The Cavitts' industry involvement and local charity support reflect a commitment to the Alaska community. By combining a multi-brand showroom with custom design capabilities, Williams & Kay aims to provide a comprehensive furnishing experience for homeowners updating a single room or an entire house.
