About Amish Furniture Showroom Minnesota
Amish Showroom operates from a showroom and warehouse in Coates, Minnesota, just south of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul airport. The family-owned business traces its roots back 16 years to a tree farm that supplied lumber to Amish woodworking families in the region. As relationships with those workshops deepened, the company began offering furniture direct from the makers to consumers, eventually expanding into both residential and commercial custom work. Today the company designs and builds solid hardwood furniture, custom kitchen cabinets, and interior doors. It controls the supply chain from the forest up: the family harvests and kiln-dries its own lumber at its own yard, then employs a team of craftsmen and women to fabricate pieces to customer specifications for wood species, stain, and dimensions. Finished goods ship to all 48 states, with typical lead times of four to twelve weeks. The client base spans individual homeowners and commercial accounts such as universities, restaurants, retirement communities, and banks. Orders range from single dining sets to full-scale furnishing projects for institutional spaces. The founders say the direct-to-consumer model eliminates the overhead of traditional retail showrooms, allowing them to pass savings on to buyers. Owning the lumberyard and drying operation also insulates the business from market price swings, while the family’s award‑winning tree‑farm stewardship underscores a commitment to sustainable sourcing.
