About Barn XO
Barn XO operates from Mundelein, Illinois, where the family-owned business reclaims rare Midwestern woods originally harvested during Chicago's industrial rise in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The company was founded on the premise of preserving the history embedded in each knot, grain, and imperfection of this reclaimed lumber. The workshop produces custom handcrafted furniture including conference tables, bar and dining tables, chairs and bar stools, desks, console tables, and coffee tables. Each piece is built to order through a process that begins with a design consultation, continues with material and finish selection at the company's showroom, and ends with nationwide delivery. Barn XO serves both residential and commercial clients. Homeowners order dining tables, benches, and coffee tables for private residences, while businesses specify conference tables for offices and bar-height tables for hospitality venues. The brand differentiates itself by emphasizing sustainable design that honors the origins of its materials. Barn XO states that its furniture carries the history of Chicago's industrial past, and it markets its products as made in the USA with free design consultations and a showroom experience in Mundelein.
