About Blue Ridge Log Furniture
Blue Ridge Log Furniture operates from Somers, Montana, where it has been crafting rustic furniture for over 25 years. The business is owned by Bill, who serves as the primary craftsman and point of contact for custom projects. The company began with a focus on bringing the aesthetic of the Rocky Mountains into homes through handcrafted aspen log and reclaimed barnwood furniture. The shop produces three distinct collections of solid-wood furnishings: aspen log furniture, reclaimed barnwood pieces, and hand-hewn timber furniture. Every item is built in-house using mortise-and-tenon joinery for frames, dovetailed drawer boxes mounted on full-extension ball-bearing slides, and a three-step sanding process finished with a quality-assurance inspection. The company does not carry accessories or third-party lines, concentrating solely on bedroom, living-room, dining-room, and office furniture. Customers range from homeowners furnishing log cabins and mountain retreats to offices seeking a rustic aesthetic. Reviews cite custom king beds, basement end tables and coffee tables, and a bespoke desk as examples of delivered projects. Blue Ridge differentiates itself by hand-picking raw materials for each project to preserve the wood's natural history, limiting its catalog to rustic wood furniture so that expertise remains deep, and offering a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on non-custom orders.
