About MBC Woodshop Inc
MBC Woodshop operates from Morgantown, West Virginia, where it was founded in 1974 by a group of craftsmen who set out to design and build fine handcrafted hardwood furniture. The shop designs, builds, and installs custom wooden furniture, architectural trim, and live‑edge slabs, and it also repairs, restores, and refinishes existing pieces. Its capabilities include custom knife grinding to match trim profiles, sawing and surfacing live‑edge slabs in‑house, and stocking a wide inventory of kiln‑dried domestic and imported hardwoods. The facility handles projects ranging from individual furniture items to full‑room millwork such as kitchens, libraries, bars, and wine rooms. The company’s project list cites items such as custom bars, kitchen cabinets, library furnishings, bathroom vanities, wine rooms, and custom staircases. MBC Woodshop distinguishes itself by producing pieces that are custom designed and seldom reproduced, combining modern equipment with traditional hand‑tool techniques to achieve a level of workmanship the founders set out to deliver in 1974.
