About Minnesofa Furniture
Minnesofa Furniture was founded in May 2022 by Max Bjorklund and Luke Schultz in Minnesota. The business began in a garage where the pair refurbished used furniture, turning a passion for furniture and entrepreneurship into a vision for a retail operation. Within a year they opened their first store in Moorhead and have since added a second location in Excelsior. The company operates as a furniture retailer, offering sectionals, sofas, chairs, tables, bedroom sets, mattresses, outdoor pieces, and reclining furniture. Inventory comes through a direct partnership with Ashley Furniture and through the refurbishment of used items, which are sold as like-new condition. Minnesofa also provides a white‑glove delivery service that covers in‑home delivery, assembly, and trash removal across the Twin Cities metro area. The founders started Minnesofa to combine their interest in furniture with a hands‑on business model. They highlight speed—most items can be delivered within a week—and the personal attention that comes from a locally owned, owner‑operated shop as key differentiators.
