About Mission Furniture Manufacturing.
Mission Furniture Manufacturing operates from a factory showroom in Los Angeles, California. The company was founded in 1971 by Cecilio Acevedo and remains a family-owned business, originally focusing on upholstery before expanding into broader furniture lines. The firm manufactures custom upholstered furniture on site, building frames exclusively from solid wood without MDF, plywood, or particle board. It uses high-grade fabrics and high-density foam rubber for cushions. Services include custom upholstery, re-upholstery, furniture repairs, cushion re-stuffing and replacement, dining chair upholstery and repair, and custom mattress set fabrication. The company also offers free local delivery, in-home estimates, and no-credit-check financing. Clients can submit photos for quotes on new builds or renewals, with nearly endless options for fabrics, dimensions, and firmness. The company emphasizes that its family atmosphere sustains a tradition of quality and service, and that in-house production allows prices 40–70% below competitors. It avoids composite wood products and stresses full customization: "When we say custom, we mean custom."
