About Pennsylvania Farm Table Company - Farmhouse Tables
Pennsylvania Farm Table Company was founded in 2013 by Bobby Snyder in Exton, Pennsylvania. A third-generation woodworker, Snyder learned the craft from his grandfather, Jack, who built dulcimers and banjos, and his father, who taught him the trade. The company began with a vision of creating high-quality farm tables that would become family heirlooms. The company handcrafts custom farmhouse dining tables using traditional woodworking techniques, with a specialty in hand-turned legs. All furniture is built from locally sourced, sustainable Pennsylvania hardwoods. Operations take place in a recently expanded custom workshop, and a showroom is housed in the restored 1750 West Whiteland Inn, a historic landmark in Exton. The shop produces both made-to-order tables in custom dimensions, wood species, and styles, as well as a selection of pre-built tables available for immediate purchase. The primary customers are residential homeowners seeking heirloom-quality dining furniture. Testimonials from clients such as Bonnie K., Tesha Maria P., and Derrick B. describe tables that become the focal point of their homes. The company works closely with each customer through the design process, and its pieces have attracted attention from media outlets and HGTV personality Clint Harp. Snyder started the business after trying several industries, realizing his calling was to use his woodworking skills to create lasting furniture. The firm emphasizes its multi-generational craft heritage, sustainable local materials, and a commitment to building "modern heirlooms" intended to be cherished for generations. Recognition from national media and design awards underscores the quality of their work.
