About Southpaw Furniture Co
Southpaw Furniture Co operates from Sturtevant, Wisconsin, where a family-owned workshop has grown from a garage startup into a 5,500-square-foot manufacturing facility with a dedicated 400-square-foot spray booth. The company does not disclose a founding year, but its origins trace back to a passion for solid hardwood craftsmanship that now employs multiple full-time woodworkers. Each piece moves through hand-cut joinery, sanding, and spray finishing in-house, allowing the team to control color matching and surface quality. The facility’s capacity supports both one-off commissions and repeat orders for residential and commercial clients. Homeowners make up the core customer base, though the company also furnishes businesses seeking durable, made-to-measure pieces. Reviews highlight projects ranging from oval dining tables with custom stain samples shipped for in-home approval to white-oak kitchen islands with tailored drawer inserts and pull-out mechanisms. Southpaw’s stated mission centers on sustainability, quality, and personalization—creating furniture intended to last generations rather than seasons. The founders emphasize integrity in client relationships and a commitment to using only solid hardwoods, avoiding veneers or particle board. That philosophy, they say, distinguishes their work from mass-produced alternatives and drives repeat business from clients who value heirloom-grade construction.
