About Furniture Industries
Furniture Industries, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, traces its roots to 1952 when it began as a furniture manufacturing and reupholstery operation. The business transitioned to a third-generation family enterprise under Arnie Labofsky, who took leadership in the mid-1970s and instilled a culture of “do right by your clients and team members” that still guides the company. Today FII operates as a full-service FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) partner for the hospitality sector. Its service lines span interior design, procurement, project management, logistics, and installation, allowing the firm to manage projects from concept through final fit-out. The client roster centers on hotel developers and management groups. FII serves as an Approved Purchasing Agent for IHG Hotels & Resorts and a Procurement Services Provider for Hilton’s LivSmart Studios and Tru brands. Testimonials cite work with Douglas Carlson Development, Hotel Ventures Management, KM Hotels, Lighthouse Hospitality Group, Thomas Construction, Ehrhardt Properties, and Sonmar Management Corp. The firm says its differentiation lies in “designing and procuring with purpose,” blending aesthetics, financial mindfulness, and schedule adherence. Clients repeatedly highlight reliability—meeting deadlines, budgets, and promises—as the reason they return for new builds, PIPs, and renovations.
