About Route 66 Solar
Route 66 Solar, headquartered in Edwardsville, Illinois, is a family-owned solar installation company serving Central Illinois. The firm operates additional offices in Springfield, Champaign, Peoria, and Bloomington, covering a broad swath of the state. The company designs and installs photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial customers, handling every step in-house — from initial home energy audits and custom system engineering to installation by its own IBEW-certified crews, 24/7 monitoring setup, and rebate paperwork. Route 66 Solar does not subcontract any labor. To date it has completed more than 5,000 installations, including over 3,500 residential projects, and estimates that its customers have saved more than $50 million on electricity costs. Its client base spans homeowners, businesses, state agencies, and utility partners across Central Illinois. The company works directly with programs such as the federal Investment Tax Credit, Illinois solar rebates, and net-metering arrangements to reduce upfront costs. Route 66 Solar distinguishes itself by refusing to subcontract, relying instead on salaried IBEW crews, and by offering a no-pressure, educational sales process. It provides comprehensive warranties, 24/7 mobile monitoring, and $0-down financing options, aiming to make the switch to solar as straightforward as possible.
